Luke M Wright MACP, LMHC, LPC

In the desert of old stories and unspoken pain, I offer a space where rain can fall—inviting you to uncover hidden narratives, explore the depths of your inner world, and discover the parts of yourself that have long been waiting to be known.
As the founder of Desert & Rain Collective, I am committed to a collaborative journey of healing, where we gently re-author the tales that no longer serve you and integrate the fragmented aspects of your psyche into a more cohesive whole.

Who I Work With
I see adolescents and adults, providing therapy tailored to the unique rhythms of each life stage. As a dual-licensed clinician, I hold an LMHC in Washington State and an LPC in Arizona, allowing me to support clients across both regions through self-pay telehealth sessions (and soon in-person services in the Phoenix metro area).

My Approach
My counseling approach is very relaxed and conversational, drawing from a variety of models toward healing. My work is deeply rooted in narrative therapy and psychoanalytic psychotherapeutic approaches, including Relational Psychotherapy, British Object Relations, and Internal Family Systems. Together, we delve into the stories you've carried—those shaped by trauma, life seasons, or the quiet undercurrents of your experiences—to engage the parts of yourself and narrative patterns of your life. This is a process of discovery: listening for the voices of your inner parts, tracing unconscious patterns that influence your relationships and self-perception, and fostering a dialogue where silenced aspects can emerge and be honored. Whether through short-term insights or longer explorations, we create room for authenticity, where the rain of understanding nourishes growth and wholeness.

Education and Credentials
I earned my undergraduate degree from Multnomah University in Portland, Oregon, and my Master's in Counseling Psychology (MACP) from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology, with a concentration in trauma and abuse. I also hold a Certification in Narrative Focused Trauma Care Level II from The Allender Center, which further informs my story-centered practice. In 2023-2024, I served as a Publication Committee Member for the Center for Object Relations, a psychoanalytic institute.

If you're ready to turn toward the desert within and welcome the rain, I invite you to connect. At Desert & Rain, your story matters—let's discover its next chapter together.
